Renowned Zambian Christian artist – Abel Chungu Musuka has been elected as the new Chairperson of The Zambia Music Copyright Protection Society (ZAMCOPS). He was voted Chairperson during the 17th Annual General Meeting held in Lusaka on Thursday 20th September.
Abel Chungu will be assisted by Zambia Association of Musicians General Secretary Gloria Kabonga Siyazana who has been elected to the position of ZAMCOPS Vice Chairperson.
The Zambia Music Copyright Protection Society (ZAMCOPS) was formed by composers, authors and publishers of music. Since inception, the organization has been managing Performing Rights of Composers and Publishers of music. ZAMCOPS) is registered as a society with the Registrar of Societies and as a Collecting Society by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in line with the Copyright and Performance Rights Act No. 44 of 1994.
