Izukanji, a FREEM1ND FAMILY artiste unveils the official music video for his soundtrack titled “Can’t Complain“.
In his own words, “The visual opens with a shot of Izukanji on the roof of Zambia’s tallest building. Then we join Izu as he sings to us from Kapiri Mposhi, his hometown. We recognize key Kapiri emblems such as the train station. Next step, Lusaka, Izukanji is above it all and sings his heart out to the skies of his nation, appreciating his blessings and sharing a song of beautiful hope ‘I am amazing God has blessed my life’. By the song’s end Izukanji is dancing in Kapiri, and walking towards his future on the tracks of the once famous Kapiri Mposhi trains. The video was directed by French director SignUp Vision and the shots were taken by Zambian duo Maf and Primo. An international collaboration that shows Zambia in an honest, beautiful, hopeful manner“.
This is Izukanji’s first official video, allowing the nation to finally visualize the face behind the magical voice. We hope it isn’t his last. “Can’t Complain” was produced by Majik Links, an experienced Zambian producer who also hails from Kapiri. This year we can look forward to hearing a lot more from Izu, as he is working on Tresor‘s “Who Knew” mixtape and FREEM1ND’s upcoming Larch Green 3, as well as his own debut EP.
