On Saturday 2nd June 2018, the African Gospel Music and Media Awards (AGGMA) ceremony was held and Zambian gospel artist – Pompi won the award for “Afro Rap Artiste of Excellence“. Pompi who has been enjoying great local and international success in his music career continues to add to his strong portfolio with this international achievement.

Pompi won the category with Nigeria’s Limoblaze an artist whom he had the same number of votes with. Another Category Pompi was nominated in was Artiste of Excellence Southern Africa a category which featured another Zambian artist, Abel Chungu Musuka. Abel Chungu Musuka was also nominated in the Male Artiste of Excellence category.
The African Gospel Music and Media Awards (AGMMA) is the premier gospel event that recognises the immense gospel talent that exists within the African gospel music and Christian media fraternity and beyond, and honours and rewards them accordingly at its annual awards event.
