The Zambia Association of Musicians (ZAM) held its elective Annual General Meeting (AGM) today, ushering in a new leadership team. Acclaimed artist Brian Bwembya, popularly known as B’Flow, has been elected as the new chairperson.
The atmosphere was charged with anticipation as members gathered to cast their votes, eager to shape the future of the association. Following the announcement, B’Flow took the stage to express his gratitude for the overwhelming support and trust placed in him and his executive committee.
According to a statement issued by the newly sworn-in Publicity Secretary, Edmond Miti (alias Cray J), B’Flow assured musicians that the time for politics and games was over.
“It is now time to work and deliver on the promises made during the nearly two-month campaign period,” he declared.
He emphasized the need for unity within the association, calling on all musicians—regardless of their vote—to stand together in fostering the industry’s growth and development. He also extended an open invitation to those who had distanced themselves from ZAM, encouraging dialogue and collective efforts to bring meaningful change.
“A united association is what I hope to build. We shall embrace all members, including those who did not vote for us. We also invite those who have distanced themselves from the association to join us. Come and sit with us, share your concerns, and let’s work together to bring the change we need,” he stated.
