On this thought-provoking record, the rapper highlights how some leaders prioritize flashy lifestyles over meaningful change – giving out huge campaign handouts, buying luxury cars for themselves while roads and schools remain in poor condition, and traveling abroad for medical treatment while local hospitals lack essential equipment.
BrokenHill Emmy also points out how politicians often hire popular musicians to perform at rallies, using entertainment to win voters instead of genuine action.
With relatable storytelling, “Our Leaders” paints a vivid picture of everyday struggles – from empty clinic shelves to unpaid teachers reflecting the gap between promises and reality. The track serves as a wake-up call for accountability and the need for true development in the country.
