The 9th edition of the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) tagged “This is Africa” are set to held on November 19th, 2022.
This edition is set to celebrate the stellar feats that African music artists have achieved in the past year. Crossing boundaries with music has always been the fuel behind AFRIMMA awards and the body has consistently uplifted African music on the world stage.
Zambian household name artists Macky 2, Slapdee and Towela Kaira have been shortlisted for the nominees of this year’s edition.
Towela Kaira has been nominated in the category of “Best Female Southern Africa” alongside DBN Gogo (South Africa), Ammara Brown (Zimbabwe), Mpho Sebina ( Botswana), Msaki ( South Africa), Gemma Griffiths (Zimbabwe), Makhadzi (South Africa) and Shekinah ( South Africa).
Macky 2 and Slap Dee are both in the “Best Male Southern Africa” up against Mark Exdous (Mozambique), Edgar Muzah (Zimbabwe) and Focalistic, Dlala Thuzkin, Zakes Bantwini, Master KG (all from South Africa).
