Petersen announces “Spartacus” as Last album and Joins Politics

In the latest turn of events, Mukubesa Mundia better known by his stage name Petersen Zagaze has announced what looks like his retirement from music.

In a short statement issued by Petersen himself on Monday 26th June 2018, Petersen had this to say: “I worked tirelessly day and night in the past 2 years to prepare you my last and final music album ‘SPARTACUS’. Thank you for your support and enjoy my last offering.”

Petersen who initially gained recognition after his first single in 2005 Munyaule has been one of the most celebrated and successful artists in Zambia with many chart-topping singles to his name over the last 13+ years.

Barely 24hrs after announcing his 6th Album – Spartacus as his last project, Petersen who has also been a political and good governance activist has announced that he will be standing for the Vacant Lusaka City Mayor position.

Mundia Mukubesa AKA Petersen Zagaze filed papers on Tuesday with the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) to launch a bid for Lusaka mayor, on People’s Alliance for Change (PAC) ticket.
